Robust 1960s chandelier from Kalmar Franken. The lamp consists of 2 levels with solid cast glass pendalogues (prisms) in a cubist shape. Murano’s Ice Glass technique inspired the hanging crystals. The frame is chrome-plated and illuminated with nine dimmable LED light points inside.
In the 1960s and ’70s, the Austrian Kalmar Lighting increasingly ventured into producing decorative glass objects, heralding a new era for the company. This shift catapulted Kalmar to international recognition. This lamp from the innovative “ice-glass” period, created in collaboration with sculptor Karl Gruber, increased the popularity of Kalmar’s designs.
Note: Remember the hanging point; it must be strong enough. Contact us here for information.
